What is Storybox Swap Shop?
Storybox Swap Shop is a fun, affordable way for families to enjoy a rotating library of Tonie figures. Instead of buying new figures every time, you can borrow them each month, enjoy them at home, and swap them for something new — keeping playtime fresh and your shelves clutter-free.
How does it work?
1. Choose your membership — Pick a plan based on how many Tonie figures you’d like each month.
2. Collect your figures — Pick them up from one of our local collection points.
3. Swap for something new — Bring them back when it’s time to swap and choose your next favourites.
How much does it cost?
We have three monthly membership options:
Mini – £5/month – 1 Tonie figure
Standard – £8/month – 2 Tonie figures
Mega – £12/month – 3 Tonie figures
No hidden fees — just fun, flexible swaps every month.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit is needed. We just ask that you take care of the figures while they’re on loan. If a figure is lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, a £10 replacement fee applies.
Where can I collect and return figures?
We currently have local pick-up points in Washington and Sunderland. Choose the one that’s most convenient for you during sign-up.
How often can I swap my figures?
Memberships include one swap per month. You’re welcome to keep your figures longer if you’d like — just bring them back when you’re ready to choose something new.
Can I borrow the same figure again later?
Absolutely! If a figure you’ve had before is available, you can request it again.
What condition are the figures in?
All figures are cleaned and checked before being loaned out. Some may show light signs of previous love, but they’re always in full working order.
What if I lose or damage a figure?
If a figure is lost or damaged beyond normal wear, a £10 replacement fee will be added to your account. This helps us keep the library stocked for everyone.
Can I change my membership plan later?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes will take effect from your next billing cycle.
How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel anytime via your account or by contacting us. We just ask that all borrowed figures are returned before your membership ends.
Do you post figures out?
At the moment, we only offer local collection and return. This keeps costs low and ensures figures are always in great condition.
How do I join?
Simply choose your membership plan on our website, set up your monthly payment, and we’ll be in touch to arrange your first collection.
